Our Philosophy

Little Acorn’s philosophy is based on respect for children, their cultural background, developmental level, natural curiosity and eagerness to learn. Our goal is to provide a secure and safe environment encouraging children to learn, gain self-confidence and make new friends. Children will have the opportunity to take part in activities that will stimulate and encourage intellectual, emotional, social and physical development. We wish to be friends to the children, parents, and the community.

We provide a safe environment encouraging children to learn, gain self-confidence, and to make new friends. Children have the opportunity to take part in activities that will stimulate their social, emotional, and intellectual growth.

Our Goals
We recognize the joys and challenges that come with parenting, and that entrusting your children to the care of others is an act of trust. We are committed to continually reflecting on these goals and holding ourselves accountable for the important work we do each day. We also ask that families remain mindful of these shared goals, as we work together to support every child.

Our goals

  • To provide an environment conducive to the creation and development of wholesome friendships.
  • To provide appropriate experiences that contribute to the overall growth of our students.
  • To provide opportunities for meaningful play based on individual needs, interests, handicaps, and abilities. We want to build our students’ foundations of skills and to instill a love for learning.

Goals for the parents and the community

To provide opportunities to meet with and work with other parents and teachers who have as their common concern the interests and needs of the children.

  • To contribute to the wholesome growth and development of the future citizens of the community.
  • To provide a setting where people of various religious and ethnic backgrounds can work together for a common interest
